So Daddy is on the way back to the hospital again. His brother is taking him. The day after he had his 2nd surgery for the pacemaker last week, he woke up the next morning to being in atrial fibrillation. Almost 200bpm and just going totally haywire. He can’t even walk up the stairs without stopping to catch his breath. This is the same thing that he was in the hospital for twice before, years ago. It happened again. It’s been like 5 years since the last one, and was 3 years before that when he had it the first time. So it’s not a frequent occurrence. It needs to be addressed as there’s like 7 times higher chance of having a stroke during it, not to mention he just can’t function while it’s happening.
I swear, I don’t even know what to think anymore. His doctor here can’t even give him more than 5 minutes of his time, throws two prescriptions at him and said they’ll call to schedule an appointment, which they never did. So we spend $45 for EIGHT PILLS to get him through the weekend until today (this new rx isn’t covered by insurance as there’s no generic) and still no change.
So he’s on the way to the place where we can actually trust that they’ll do something. I’m sorry, but this is f-ing ridiculous. I don’t know what to do, what to think… we need new insurance but it’s not that simple since it has to be a group plan through my business, he can’t just go get a health plan as he’ll be denied. They won’t let us switch to that other medical group so he can see the good doctor since they’re more than 30 miles away. We’re basically stuck.
Anyway if you could send some positive thoughts and prayers that they take care of him and get him back into normal rhythm, and quickly, that would be really awesome. I can only do so much and on top of it the kids are driving me absolutely insane. It would be nice if he could be home for Thanksgiving.
