So the day before yesterday marked 2 weeks since Daddy had his pacemaker put in. Two weeks was how long his doctor said he had to restrict his left arm movement and not lift anything over 10 lbs., after 2 weeks he’s fine to resume normal activities. The reason for restricting arm movement is if he put his arm up over his head it could pull the leads loose that are in the heart (there are two leads)…

Well, guess what happened yesterday. One of the leads came out. ONE day after the restriction was lifted, he resumed normal activity and it came out. So now he has to go back and do it all over again! Surgery, staying overnight, the whole bit.

He went to the doctor today to have his first check and the guy who read it said that it was fine up until yesterday. And, yes, all day yesterday he was having sharp chest pains so that now makes sense. Anyway, the tech said that it’s SIX WEEKS for restrictions, not TWO. Poor Daddy.
