Apparently they don’t have beds in the NICU (duh on my part). I felt terrible leaving her. I can’t imagine having a baby there for days, weeks, months. She’s doing better, they got her fever down. She may have a UTI but they won’t know until they grow the culture or something and run tests on it. She had a chest x-ray, IV, blood drawn and tomorrow she may get an u/s on her kidneys to look for urine reflux to see if that’s what caused the UTI (if that’s what it is).

She’s a little extra sleepy from the day’s events and trying to fight off an infection but still the little sweetie that she is. Everyone in the NICU has fallen in love with her, she’s the biggest kid there by far! Everyone says how big she is for a 5 1/2 week old. She’s 10.8 lbs…is that a lot? In the last 3 weeks she’s gained almost two pounds!
