Well, tomorrow we are setting out to do something we have never done before. Not just never done as a family, but never done ever in each of our entire lives. And that is CAMPING. Yes, neither of us have ever been! And now we’re about to take two of our children and our nephew out to the middle of a forest where we will try to live without some the basic luxuries like, oh, running water and electricity. Not to mention trying to entertain them without use of electricity. Uhmm…why do we do this again?

Ok ok ok OKAY. I know WHY we should and WHY it would be good and WHY we need to get away from all that stuff and WHY some people think it’s fun. But you know what, I’ll let you in on a little secret… shhhhh…. here it comes: I just don’t really want to go.

There. I said it. I just don’t really think it sounds like a good time! I love nature, trees, leaves, blue sky, sunsets, birds and wildlife but I don’t love bugs, being dirty, sleeping outside with no protection, bugs, going to bathroom in some dirty place, bugs. Did I mention bugs? I don’t like bugs. *sigh* But on my honor I will do my absolute BEST to make the best of it and be happy and try not to complain too much or freak out about every little bug within a 5 mile radius.
