I haven’t been able to post much lately, just a couple of spurts here and there. It’s been crazy lately.
Kirby is moving to his new school, the one around the corner from our new house, probably next week. I have mixed feelings but with input from some people at the new school, we think it’s best to do it now and get him used to the new school and how they do things now rather than during the transition to 1st grade when it will be hard enough already. So we’re in the middle of all that paperwork-shmaperwork.
Squishy has a urinary tract infection again. :( The antibiotic just got called in a few minutes ago so we’re dealing with that again. We never got to get the VCUG procedure done because she got a REALLY BAD yeast diaper rash from the last time and after I had my own round of antibiotics from my sinus infection that has just now started to look better after lots of air time and nystatin. They wanted to wait until that was better before doing the procedure. Anyway, we’ll be doing that and then likely another kidney ultrasound to see what’s up with that stone. They don’t know what’s causing the infections…if the stone is causing them or if the infections caused the stone so hopefully we’ll get some answers. Meanwhile we’re just working to keep her fevers down and her nether-regions comfortable and rash-free.
And then, as usual, I’ve been busy with work stuff. Too busy. I’m going insane. And now that my parents are here, and Squishy is sick, I haven’t been able to get back to it and I’m about to have a heart attack.
Anyway, that’s about it… also, I don’t know if I updated but we found out what is causing Daddy’s weird feelings and heart stuff…it’s called neuro cardiogenic syncope. Basically he almost faints because when he stands up or does anything suddenly, his blood vessels constrict and it doesn’t allow blood to get up to his brain fast enough. He’s already on atenelol for his other heart thing, which is the same medication he would take for this so we don’t have to do anything else other than make sure he eats regularly, doesn’t do sudden movements, etc. and if he starts feeling that way, stop driving or whatever and rest until it goes away. If you’re a parent of a preschooler, you may be interested to know that this condition is what caused Greg Wiggle to stop his official Wiggling.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you! I just wanted to give an update since I’ll probably be mostly MIA for another week or so.
