I keep posting about the same thing but I kind of use this for my therapy. We saw the dentist this morning and I’m not sure we’ll go there after all. We have an appointment for Thursday afternoon. They said that he will most likely need silver crowns on the top FRONT teeth. If it’s worse than they think, then they may have to just pull them and he’ll have no teeth there until he gets his adult ones. Um, his front teeth are what he chews with – what little chewing he does. :( I started to cry in the office after she walked out. I don’t want my baby to have to be any more different… It makes me sick to think about. From what I’ve read I should get a second opinion. I shouldn’t HAVE to have him get metal crowns – there are people who will do the composite. Also, I’ve read so much about the metal ones…are these the ones with mercury?? They still put these in kids’ mouths?? If so, NO WAY. So we’re going to call the other place we went to which is where I wanted to go but isn’t covered by our insurance. It’s going to be about $3,000 according to this place and insurance covers no more than $1,000 so I guess we’ll just have to pay that so we can get what we think he needs. I hope they can get us in QUICKLY.
