Up until the last several months I think Kirby would have played on his own all day if I let him. He was very independent, and I would have to go to him to instigate play. Otherwise I think he would be perfectly happy with his toys alone. But now he’s definitely wanting a lot more attention and I think it’s great because he has come out of his shell so so much which is what we’re working toward.

So to answer the quesiton, Kirby has a little bit of independent time during the day, a little in the morning and a little in the evening but dh has been home for the last while so one of us is usually with him, playing or watching him play, most of the time. It’s only when he’s hungry or tired that he really hangs on me. Our place is pretty small though so it’s easy to do stuff in the kitchen and have him “help” me or he can watch tv or play with his toys and still see me at all times.
