Our wind picked up here today and now we’re getting all the smoke and foul-smelling air from CA…we’re over 250 miles away. We stayed inside today because I don’t want Kirby to breathe it in. I just heard that there are now 2,000 homes destroyed, a firefighter was killed and a total of 18 people killed. Entire towns have been wiped out (houses & buildings, not people). It’s so so terrible. And they said tonight that all the fires are still completely out of control. It will go on at least a few more weeks. :(
