On the potty, that is!

Yep, Kirby finally did it! They have him sit on the potty at certain intervals at school and we’ve done it at home (though, not much lately).

Anyway, we were getting ready for the bath and I didn’t even say anything about the potty. I wasn’t even thinking about it. I just said to take off his diaper, then all by himself he hands it to me and goes over to the toilet. Puts the seat up and just stands there and pees. He has to straddle it a little to make sure it goes in but I couldn’t believe it! I wanted to scream right then and there but I waited until he was done so I didn’t interrupt him and scare him from doing it again. He put the seat down, flushed and acted like nothing was out of the ordinary!!!

And actually a few days ago he told me he had poo-poo, I went to change him and nothing was there. About 10 minutes later, he pooped. It dawned on me that he was actually probably telling me he HAD to poo-poo.

Keep your fingers crossed that he keeps going in this direction!
